We offer a variety of grants to support both individuals at different stages of their conservation careers and institutions working to preserve modern and contemporary sculpture.
Most grants awarded by the Gabo Trust are under £5,000, except for those supporting postgraduate conservation courses. All applications must relate to modern and contemporary sculpture, although we understand that some projects may have broader relevance.
Applicants are generally expected to seek additional funding from other sources, except in exceptional cases or for conservation surveys. Please note: recipients must wait two years before applying for another Gabo Trust grant.
Important: The Gabo Trust does not fund the conservation of individual artworks.
We support professional conservators looking to grow their skills and knowledge. Grants in this category may help cover:

We offer grants to help museums and galleries purchase equipment that supports the conservation and safe storage of modern and contemporary sculpture in public collections.
